Work of Art

Team P3 have been working so hard all this term to organise today's Kellands' Art Gallery.  Through this topic the children have applied for jobs within the enterprise, written and posted VIP letters, created tickets, posters, a programme and of course some of the art work you will see in the hall.  They have also come in during their lunch times to collect and count money and to sort tickets for each person who ordered them.  Through this experience they have learned many life skills and are eager to share all their hard work...

Lightning was chosen to be a Tour Guide for the afternoon and evening sessions, and he sure toured folks around and around the room!  Some of our personal highlights:

P2S chose to make pictures for the art
gallery that used stones, pebbles, natural
materials and buttons.  This allowed each
child to create a unique image using
the materials they chose

P3 GS - Wild Flowers
We focused on adding lots of small detail to our pen drawing of
wildflowers.  We added colour with colouring pencils.

P6K had a visit from Marc who was a graffiti specialist from
Fresh Paint, a street art organisation in Aberdeen.  He discussed
colour composition and what colours work effectively together
to create a 3D effect.

P7CH were inspired by maths and Fortnite.
They have been busy drawing and making
3D shapes to meet design challenges.
Re-using cardboard boxes individuals have
made llamas. Each Llama has been individually
decorated using a range of resources.
