Great Divide

And then time for the boys and I to embark on our holiday* - the first morning we had to scrape ice from the car no less! - leaving one little Toots at home** with Oma.

*Though Joey did at one point ask me "And where are we going on our actual holidays after the bike ride?!?"  Sorry son, this is it!

*We had grand plans to go to HPB Bell End Farm in Rosedale, Yorkshire for a week this year. Actually, we had grand plans to do it last year, but then booked to go to Jordan so pushed the booking back a year.  We still planned to go this year, even without Tiger, but then the opportunity came up for Toots to complete her SSTQ (swim teaching) course over the October holidays (dates not during school time are few and far between), so we decided to postpone Yorkshire till next year as it wasn't really worth going just the four of us. But the boys and I still wanted a holiday, so picked one of the few things the girls were more than happy not to join us in...!
