Never Forget

A few updates to previous posts I'd forgotten about:

1. Fascination Street / Push It Along

So turns out it was Rebecca all along that pushed PR.  We missed the great unvealing while we were on holiday.  Typical.  But thanks to Sky+ Toots and I caught up when we got home!

Obviously you can skip the following if you really don't care...  But I know some of you secretly do.

Apparently Rebecca, having found out that Paul cheated on her again (the again bit surprised me: seems I actually miss quite a lot on Neighbours, despite my daily viewing!), rushed to Lassiters bar and confronted him on the mezzanine.  In a fit of anger, after he told her he loved her, she threw her ring back at him shouting "I hate you" and rushed at him, pushing him a tad too hard.  He fell through the glass wall/barrier thing and down on to the ground. She then rushed downstairs, bumping into her son Declan, and pretending she hadn't yet seen Paul.

Diana (the lady Paul cheated with and who was attempting to wrestle control of Lassiters from him) was quickly locked up and accused of trying to kill Paul.  She was later released but then for some reason thought to be guilty again, but she managed to flee the country just in time.

Meanwhile, Rebecca is keeping a constant bedside vigil, wishing and praying that Paul will wake up.  At some point, however, Declan looks in Lost Property at the hospital for his mobile phone, and while rummaging around in the box notices Rebecca's ring.  He takes it, thinking that if the police find it and realise Rebecca isn't wearing it, and then realise it might have been found at the scene of the crime (? don't understand the logic, but then maybe just missed an episode ?) then she might be found guilty.

Anyway, Paul is now awake and has forgiven Rebecca for trying to kill him.  Rebecca wants to divorce Paul but he threatened to tell the police it was Declan if she went ahead and filed the papers.  Paul and Rebecca are now at home playing happy families, with no one any the wiser that she actually hates him.  And a month and a day later (in real time, who knows how long that is in soap land), there is no mention of the police, no mention of possible suspects, no clue that they are following anything up.  Doesn't say much for the Aussie force.  Or the Neighbours' continuity people.

2. If Tomorrow Never Comes

THANKS!  From the masses of wonderful jewellery to the teeniest, tiniest pair of pants - all the gifts were very much appreciated.

3. Baby It's Cold Outside

Snow, snow and more snow.  That's what we had last week.  Not a day went past that it didn't snow.  And if we were hard pushed on Monday to go for a walk, it was impossible by Friday.  Even pulling Toots and Tiger on a sledge was difficult, as there was at least a foot of soft snow on all the pavements - and that was the depth of the bit that was trampled.  The bits that weren't were at least another foot higher...  And the bits that were trampled were only trampled the width of a person walking, so the sledge carved a great canyon down the pavement, filling it up with snow and making it even heavier to pull.

As you can see, our play house was as snowed in as we were.  Only the neighbours cat has managed to get any use out of it...











4. Splish Splash I Was Taking A Bath

Still no hot water upstairs.  Specific boiler man came round after general plumber couldn't fix the problem.   He was specifically more expensive too than what we'd already generally paid.  Specific boiler man seemed to find another more serious problem too - a leak from the boiler that is the result of some blockage somewhere in the pipes, or because the pipes or ground outside is frozen or blocked with snow.  Said pipe runs behind a few units and joins the washing machine and dishwasher pipes, so to try to find the blockage or problem could be a bit of an issue.  Ach, think we'll leave it for a few more weeks... got enough to deal with at the moment.

Specific boiler man still couldn't fix the water pressure problem though, even though he gave the boiler a right good servicing and changed all the, whatever normally needs changed.  He said he'll order the part that needs fixed and normally he gets deliveries every night, but what with this weather...  Seven weeks on the saga continues.

5. Gone With The Wind

Woody: gone.  Maxwell: gone.  Bullseye: gone.  Three other tiny baby fish: gone.

Where can fish disappear to in an enclosed tank????

We're now only left with two baby fish - one kinda yellow, and one kinda orange.

Long live Woody and Bullseye the second!
