Things I'm enjoying about being home:

• 240v instead of 110v
• (which means) hairdryers that are powerful
• (and) ghd's that are H O T
• soft water
• (which means) soft hair
• (and) water that tastes nice
• roundabouts
• a manual car (or at least we were looking forward to that, except we were given an automatic)
• Curry.  More specifically, the Blue Elephant on George Street
• my old Nokia phone

Things I'm missing about Midland:

• the sink hose that you can pull out of the tap and skoosh round the sink to clean it
• the Insinkerator

Both awesome ideas.

Apparently we also missed a 'white Christmas' in Texas, while here we celebrated one of the warmest Christmases on record and one that was 28 degrees C (80+F) warmer than last year.

Who'd've thought.
