The kids swam and swam and swam all afternoon then played and played and played then ate and ate and played and ate, and all in all were exhausted by the end of the day. And it was just so nice for us adults to sit out in the cool evening sun, watch the kids play and catch up on life and family and other auld acquaintances, despite the years that we've missed. As a Viking pointed out last time, and the Weegie did this time, there's just something different about conversation when you've known each other for a good long time (in this case 15 years minimum), and my tuppeny worth, when that's through your uni/dating/young-married life as you become a lot of who you are today.
