Oh For A Cup Of Tea

We have had a busy last week of holidays this week with a week long dance camp for Tiger, a day of Judo camp for Lightning, swim lessons each afternoon for Lightning and Joey, and back to back-to-back early morning swims for Toots.

And today, to celebrate the last day of the holidays, Toots and the Don have headed to a sports loch near Banchory to take part in GASC's first annual Knockburn Team Cup Challenge.  Yesterday, when it was sunny, warm, ice-lolly weather I would gladly have tagged along  (though probably still not take part - cold and water do not appeal to me in the slightest!) had I not ballet and swim runs to do, but today ...?... different story.

Each group was given a set of skills to practice and master - some old (like running - and balancing it seems), some new (like SUPing) - in order to collect points and lead their teams to victory.  Oh, and then eat burgers.

Warming up!

All-in-all they seemed to have a cracking time, despite the cold and non-stop rain, which bodes well for future years when the weather could only be better.  But the Don is now home, warmed up, and sitting on the sofa exhausted, while Toots has headed back out for another two hour swim.  Crazy!
