Like It's Her Birthday

And so we celebrated my birthday, in a 10 minutes frenzy of candle lighting, "Happy Birthday" singing and present unwrapping after Toots and Lightning had had their swim lessons/training, Tiger had a clarsach lesson, all three had earlier than normal piano lessons, I'd cooked and we'd all eaten tea, and before Joey and I headed out to Boys' Brigade.

Welcome to adulthood!

But at least their was a cake (can't go wrong with Betty Crocker Devil's Food cake mix!) made by Tiger and Lightning yesterday afternoon after getting Lightning off to his football festival and picking up Tiger from the SU camp bus, and decorated by Lightning and Joey after Tiger had gone to bed exhausted and Joey had come back from his football but before Toots and the Don were even home.  Of course the 10 minutes today didn't give us enough time to actually cut and eat the cake, but at least that's tomorrow's breakfast sorted ;)

This was my favourite gift:

51 weeks to plan 40 things to do in the Big Apple means it's a whole year of giving birthday love from the Don.  Recommendations please?
