I have to say, the huge advantage of January birthdays is that you at least have something to look forward to in the dreary post-Christmas/New Year humdrum. And with a nearly-8 year old counting down the days to his birthday on the 30th we all were looking forward to it coming...!
First up though, was our Tiger who turned 12 with a truly perfect-for-her white-chocolate-squashy-cake extravaganza (which required far more DIY than the original cake I made for Toots way back in 2017!).
We took the day off school - because hello: homeschooling - and had a super day basically not doing school. Also eating a lot of yummy cake.
