Swap Meet

Our girls headed south along with the G-Ks and Oma, and so began our first full week of the holidays - with cycling and mountain biking and cheese and bread making and three days off planned for us up in the 'Shire, and loads of fun outdoor activities including kayaking and body boarding and swimming in the sea and lakes for those in the central belt who were a whole lot hardier than us.  Along with cousin playing and room painting.

Except this is pretty much what we woke up to three mornings on the trot:

And though the snow didn't last, it did feel like a week of never ending snow, wind and cold showers up here, which kinda put paid to most of our plans.

We did finally get out on a bike ride on Wednesday, and the boys drove out to Tarland to MTB with friends on Friday, but overall it felt like a very un 'successful' week's holiday!

The girls on the other hand had a blast...

Touch colder than planned at St Andrews Beach

The beautiful Loch Ard

Time for us to head South to get some of that better weather then...!
