Turns out "short-term staffing absences will not permit [the school] to run a full in-person experience on Friday 24th September" which means they have "taken the difficult decision that our S3 students will continue to learn virtually and will not be school ... Usual in-person provision will resume for all on Monday 27th September when we expect the short-term pinch-points associated with staffing to ease."
I have to say, it's the perfect end to her very busy and very tiring week!
