But I played my part too and spent 12 hours on Saturday at the side of a pool... and come Sunday afternoon had to do it all over again! This time for Lightning at his second official swim meet at Aberdeen International School.
And like Toots before him who medalled at this, her first ever meet, and Lightning, who three years later also medalled at the same meet (albeit it was his second official meet), Joey also medalled in his second ever swim meet, four years after Lightning.
AND, I was timekeeper for the first time ever with Toots at this meet, Judge 1 for the first time ever with Lightning at the same meet, and Judge 2 with Joey for the first time this weekend (though technically my first was at NDs the day before). Oh it feels like it's been a loooong - and repetitive - seven year journey!
