But holidays also mean friends coming to stay!!
It's been two years since Hep and I last got to catch up, but this summer she managed to stay for a few days with her kiddos - and it's been six years since we've seen them! Queue great plans, but crappy weather.
No, the rain did stop and the wind did drop which allowed us to show off a little bit of our local area...
...as well as go on the obligatory trip down memory lane...
...but of course the rain started again, because, well, this is Scotland in summer time.
Was lovely having the time to catch up properly, and hopefully we can do the same next time you're this side of the world! (Unless one of the older Boyds gets to your side first ;)
