He's been going since summer, but only received his 'blues' in time for Remembrance Day this week. As much as I love the fact that the uniform is free, it has required a fair bit of Wonder Web to get it to fit and get the badges in the right place, but Joey seems to love - or at least not mind - getting properly dressed up twice a week (and is getting better at hanging everything up properly afterwards!). We did have a bit of a panic that his parade shoes wouldn't arrive in time, but they came yesterday, and being brand new didn't even require the almost-looked-forward-to lick and spit! I'm sure that will come though...
Our annual Rembrance Day Parade is the one absolute requirement for all Cadets though. We've been attending as part of Cubs and Scouts for years, and as usual the Don and Lightning also took part, but it was nice to see Joey decently atired and marching to time this year:
| Waiting for the return of the band - much closer this time than before (hence the wobble in the video below!) |
We're looking forward to finding out what other opportunities Cadets brings!
