Everybody's On The Run

It's that time of the year again when everybody local is on the run...

First up the 5k, where Joey was hoping to go sub-20 and, this year, Lightning was just hoping to finish (he was not feeling well poor boy).

Both boys did really well on the very hilly course, with Joey finishing in 20:57 and Lightning in 23:11.

At this point Lightning did head straight home
for a lie down on the sofa!

Next up was the Don running the 1/2 marathon again...

...finishing in a very respectable 1:47:05.

Next year Lightning is planning to run the 5k in full Scout kit including a kilt, while carrying a 10kg backpack full of everything he'll need for his 2 weeks in Poland, so we're thinking it'll be a touch slower! Joey, meanwhile, has got his sites on the Inverness 5k on 14th March 2027, which runs along the canal and is completely flat, in the hope of getting that sub-20... So I guess we'll see what the next year brings!
