And we're back. Online. At home. Though currently connected to the modem till we go out and buy a wireless box. Which we now know we don't get when we pay for installation. We also now know our main phone has to be connected to the modem which means the one base-unit/handset/answer-machine phone we bought that we wanted to keep in the kitchen will now have to stay in the spare room, and we'll need to buy another handset to sit in the kitchen and actually be handy. And all because our modem needs to bizarrely (for us, bizarre for them to connect internet to the phone line) be connected to a cable TV inlet. The only cable TV inlet 'handy' in the living area is in the living room, and will most probably be used for our TV. And although this house has an incredible amount of cable TV inlets (at least one in every room), they are all in random and not very useful areas. So the spare room it is. Not that any of you care I'm sure!
