A Good Day for a Stitch In Time

Two trips to the ER in ten days.  Man, what a month...

Not a big gash, admittedly, but like Lightning's, a deep one.  Caused by falling off a railing she was sitting on in the bandstand at the duck pond during a late afternoon outing.

Fourth visit in five years to the ER for our Toots: the first ended in an operation (for a hernia), the second in an overnight stay (in Barcelona), the third with glue (for a cut forehead) and this final one, after four hours, with four stitches.

At least there's no school tomorrow because of President's Day.  We could all do with a sleep in after another late night...

Like I said, ALL the best kids get stitches ;-)

She matches me - hernia, forehead, chin.

Yikes! That looks bad. Poor Toots. Hope she is OK. And to think rough and tumble OC has made to age five with no broken limbs and only one short trip to casualty courtesy of an overly anxious first aider. Who'd have predicted it would be that way round?

Not me! Did his burned arm just see the doctor? Anyway, it's all about numbers for Toots at the moment, and she's been FOUR times, which is more than anyone else she knows, so she's actually happy about it.
