Come On-A My House

Sixteen adults, twenty-four and a half children, at least six different nationalities, two haggis's (haggai?), a whole bunch of neeps, tatties, stovies, meatballs, array of appetizers, pasta, shortbread, irn-bru, donuts, chocolate cake, ice-cream, strawberries, cookies, beer, wine, mint lemonade and a good few swallies of whisky, made a very successful Burns-themed-house-warming.

Stupid, stupid, stupid idea to eventually go to bed without soaking the dishes, tidying up the kitchen or cleaning the floors of spills though.  Hardened haggis, sticky spilled irn-bru and melted chocolate cake are not pleasant to wake up to on a Saturday morning.  A Skype call with Marifiki made it all the more bearable, but look what we've been missing in Midland:

Snow angels

It made the kids a bit sad that they didn't get to play in it, until they asked to go swimming ;)
