Every Day Is Your Birthday

Okay, so we actually ended up giving the Don his birthday tea last night (and it wasn't even planned, but macaroni was one of the few things I could make out of the ingredients in my cupboard/freezer, and I knew I wouldn't have time to make a cheesecake today what with church, church-out-to-lunch, much needed afternoon sleeps for all six of us, and then small group, and well, once a cheesecake has been made it kinda needs to be eaten fresh, right? and as it happens, macaroni is what the Don always picks for his birthday tea, so all in all, my last minute decision making turned out really well), but he did wait till today to open his presents.  The few that he had.  But this one was so worth the lack of others:

Best remote control car ever (and it even found us: during that total waste of time the kids were basically chased around the freezing mall for an hour by the car which was being controlled by a friendly ELC shop assistant.  His sales technique clearly worked).

And it had to be, to beat the highlight of last night's celebrations: the home-made Jaffa Cake Cheesecake with Terry's Dark Chocolate Orange topping.

YUM
