Mother's Day

Who knew that today was Mother's Day in the UAE?!?  Not me I can tell you.  At least not until the kids brought me home an origami folded Tulip card (Toots) and a poster (Lightning) filled with and covered in, what I can only assume are, loving Arabic sentiments.

Turns out Mother's Day also meant a complimentary henna design after my mani/pedi this afternoon.

On reflection, the Don doing both school run and keeping Joey all day, which allowed me four hours of shopping, half an hour of sunbathing and a long relaxing shower, a catch up of Grey's and Scandal, then an hour and a half mani/pedi and free henna (and for totally not being a planned 'me' day) has meant I've not had a bad day at all!
