Did I mention the rain?!?
Honestly, on every. single. EVERY. SINGLE. walk that I have done to, from, or around town in between school, it has rained. Even Wednesday, which promised to be colder but drier, ended up just colder and wet. It has been truly miserable. Truly. Miserable. Even according to iChum who in her own words is an upbeat positive outdoor person who likes the cold and usually getting wet.
I have to admit that twice I gave in and drove Joey up to nursery at lunch time. Which was totally worth it for his response alone: [read with disbelief, amazement and joy] "You mean we're going in the car?!?"
I have not, however, given in with the older kids and so far they are coping just fine. I, however...
