Oma found an old box of Lego kinetic in her house, which probably came from papa, and gave it to our kids at Christmas. As it happens there are a whole whack load of pieces that are missing and so not much can actually be done with it as it is, but what it did come with were some old fashioned instruction manuals.

As a result Lightning has been experiencing Lego building 80s style, which is the way I remember it, and think is wonderful.

60 years on I think this is a great way to celebrate Lego's birthday!

We're still playing with original 1980s Lego too. (And many other toys). Although you know they always say things come around again: Lego Minecraft is back to basics Lego with a few creepers and torches thrown in.
