Over the Sea to Skye

We are a fictional seven weeks into a Jacobean 1743 Scotland (that's eight episodes in to the first season) and we have only just had our first glimpse of realistic Scottish weather:


I mean this is the weather that we Scots expect every time we chose to holiday in the Highlands, right?  And we're not usually disappointed. 

Not that I'm denying the beauty of Scotland or the gloriously stunning Highlands that Outlander is selling, it's just that the reality is somewhat different, as I'm sure it was even in 1743.
