We've been looking forward to Landmark ever since Lightning went with the Cubs back in September and came home raving about it. I knew in winter all the 'manned' rides would be closed, but Lightning assured us there was still enough open to be a lot of fun, and at less than half price I thought that would be a pair compromise. Of course I didn't bank on it actually snowing, and therefore even more of the park was closed than we'd planned. But you know, ce la vie... and at least for the most part we were warm!
Dinosaur Kingdom was still open, and twenty two moving, roaring, life size and very realistic dinosaurs was enough to excite our kids!

Throw in a wriggling millipede and slimy Giant African Snail (though no butterflies) in The Butterfly House...
And some quizzes, questions, prizes and face paints...
and plenty snow for snowball fights...
...and you have some very happy children. Even if they do still need to eat their packed lunch outside!
Post lunch it was time for Bamboozeleum, a magical world of mystifying and dazzling exhibits; wonderful illusions, perplexing puzzles and bewildering effects...
...which was about enough for one day!
