Four days of Community Centre i.e. swimming pool closures (staff from all Shire community and leisure centres were deployed to Balmoral for First Aid and crowd control) meant our planned weekend swim meet couldn't go ahead. And neither could church. Except then it could, since the Head Master of the school within the Community Campus where we meet is also a church member. But by then we'd already signed the boys up to football matches.
So to Skene and then Culter on Sunday morning we went, and after dropping Joey off at the grounds we walked down to the main A93 at Rob Roy on the Rock and joined thousands of others along the route in saying goodbye to our Queen.
An incredible number of people from far and wide.
