What was once bustling - chock-a-block sure with folks parking all day for work in the town or to use the train station to commute into Aberdeen - but still bustling and active, is now empty. And of course all the side and residential streets, are now crammed full.
Personally I have no problem with charging and making a bit of money, but as a local town user who does sometimes need the car for groceries or heavy purchases, I say bring back our "first 30 minutes are free", or even better, "the first two hours are free"! That wouldn't solve the problem for those who park all day, but might at least encourage folks to keep coming into the town centre and ensuring Inverurie remains "Scotland's busiest town centre".
