Divine Youth

NE CYC (North East Christian Youth Camps) were literally the Don's summer from ages 9 through 17, so Tiger attending the senior one this year definitely brought him a touch of nostalgia. And her a whole lot of conversations about this leader who used to bunk with this one of the Don's aunty's every summer and this leader attending every summer with the Don's brother and this leader remembering Tiger when she was a wee girls in Inverurie and attended a mother and toddler group with me, and grandma remembering when she was an assistant leader... The Brethren world is small in the NE (probably most places!), but so kind and generous and welcoming.  Even more so when your family has been part of it for decades!

Camps weren't hosted at Fasckally during the Don's day though - the school rooms and games hall of Forres or Banfff Academy were his stomping grounds - but still, the memories...
