It has been such gorgeous weather here this week... a tad cool in the wind and out the sun, but in the sun and out the wind... reeeaaally lovely. Always the way during exam season!
Since he doesn't have social media to advertise on, here is his official launch spiel:
"I am trying to personally raise £2,000 (of the £4,000+ total cost) to help me attend the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland next year. The World Scout Jamboree brings together over 40 thousand young people from all over the world and is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to represent my community on a global stage.
I have currently planned a couple of individual fundraising events including:
- Five Munros in One Day in May (May 2026)
- Glass Collecting (January 2027)
- Run Garioch 5k carrying full Jamboree Kit ~10kg (May 2027)
I am also taking part in some group fundraising activities with three friends from Explorer Scouts who are also attending World Jam. These include:
- Quiz, Bingo and Race Nights
- Bag packing in Morrisons, Inverurie
- Kilt Walk
Being chosen for the North East contingent was not easy. The selection process was very competitive and inclded activities to show our leadership, teamwork, commitment and ability to represent our area. I am very proud to have been selected as one of the 36 representatives of the North East and Highlands.
Any support you can give me would mean a lot and would help make this amazing opportunity possible.
