Six hours ago it was very different as we finally made it to our seats on the plane, sweating and exhausted. We were still milling around the check-in desks as the Final Call for London Heathrow was being flashed on the screen (not our fault - the kind check-in lady agreed to check our bags all the way through to MAF which meant we didn't have to pick up the four suitcases, large holdall, two cardboard boxes, two car seats, buggy, four bits of handluggage, handbag and laptop bag from Heathrow and cart it to the hotel just to check it back in tomorrow morning again - but that did mean everything took longer), so after some rather hasty and tearful goodbyes we had to battle through a surprisingly long queue of be-suited men and women to get through security, were all patted down, then rushed as fast as little Tiger's legs could carry her to the full and waiting plane. Only to find someone in our seats.
Anyway, sorry to all those that came to bid us adieu that there wasn't more of a chance to chat and say goodbye. We did try to get there in plenty of time, but in our usual family style everything ended up rather rushed. Still, the length of time it took to check in at least gave the girls a chance to run riot round the airport and let off some steam. And try as I might to get some photos of the occasion, only two were willing to pose for me:
...but what mighty fine poses!
Anyway, we'll see what tomorrow's flight will bring. Today's wasn't a great success, with the poor lady in front of us being kicked to blazes by Tiger's feet, the folks round about us being deafened by Tiger's squeals whenever she needed to be strapped in, and my stomach being squashed by the ants in Tiger's pants, but guess that's all par for the course. At least at the other end we have this to look forward to:
...while we saw snow forecast for the weekend in Aberdeen ;)
So we'll let you know how things go. Think of us!
And oh, our camera is now totally out of battery and the charger is packed in the depths of some checked in baggage so there'll be no more pictures of our journey (oh to have an iPhone...).

Can I just point out that the red dots in the above picture are actually rosy cheeks and that Scott is "facing the jets" which it is the back of his head you can see and not a blacked out face.
The OC did a picture for you too but when we got home I realised I had it in the bundle of leaflets they had picked up so it got stuck in the recycle bin (don't tell him), it's the thought that counts!
And re the flight tomorrow - surely you will have more leg room to kick and move around it?? All the best!! x
Bye bye! Bye bye!
