A Sorta Fairytale

Was reading Little Red Riding Hood (or at least the Germany version) to Toots last night, and it definitely ain't the Ladybird 'Easy Reading' Book from my childhood.

I don't know if it was the wine and cake that was taken to the grandma to make her well again that made me think twice, or more likely the filling of the wolf with big and heavy stones once he has been sliced open and Little Red Riding Hood and the grandma escaped, but on reflection, Meine Lieblingsmaerchen Rotkaeppchen is not a Well Loved Tale to read to a child full of questions and imagination before bed!

Guess we'll leave the Grimms' Fairy Tales book on the shelf for another few years...
