Butterfly Fly Away

It was a glorious Autumn day today with the sun shining and temperatures in the upper 20s.  Tomorrow, however, the polar vortex is due to hit and we're down to low single digits during the day and freezing temperatures at night.

So today after school we headed off to the recently opened butterfly garden at the I-20 Wildlife Reserve, to see the what beauties we could find before the cold snaps us all.

The poor kids were desperately trying to get the butterflies to land on them without actually touching them.  They tried and tried and tried... but to no avail.
