Color On The Walls

It was Lightning's Open House at Crestview last Thursday, and I meant to post these pictures when we got home.  But you know, it was one of a number of late nights back to back, and there was so much else to do, so...

Her 'favourite' pupils

The girls actually had their Open House at some point in September, but the Don took only Toots and Lightning rather than us of all going, as one of the others (you'd never guess from that smile!) had a melt-down and ended up in bed.  He only belatedly sent me these pictures, so here are some from then!

First up, our Kindergartener:

Then time for some Second Grade writing and reasoning:

Who would guess her birthday
was a few weeks later...

Open House is really just an excuse for the kids to show off some of their work. And of course because we're in Texas, there is also plenty of food.  For Lightning it was hundreds of home-made cookies and a delectable punch, and at Trinity it was that reliable Chick Fil-A.  Not complaining though, not complaining!

Love the puppy story. Shame on you for not getting the real Sally a dog.

What has she learned this year? Harder math and what was the other one?

Cute pictures all round :)
