I looked down in my shopping trolley this morning and realised what a perfect example it was of what shopping in the UAE is all about: salzstangerl, Ritter Sport and Kinder from Germany, Goldfish and Orville Redenbacher's kettle corn from the US, McVities Digestive biscuits from Britain, Belgian waffles, Arabic bread... all bought in a French Supermarket.
I mean honestly, if you can't find your home comforts in a supermarket here, there is no chance of you ever finding them anywhere else that isn't home.
