All In The Family *final update

Turns out the Don did have a hernia when he was young, so ha, it's not just my side of the family!

Making sure Orcky is also prepared

But nothing much really to update: it's not quite so novel the fourth time round.

Surgery went well: both sides were fixed.  Hospital was freezing.  There was a lot of sitting around waiting.  We have to go back in for a follow up within ten days.

All in all Tiger was a trouper, and although she didn't sleep quite as peacefully during her recovery as Joey did during his (funnily enough I wasn't allowed on to the bed to cuddle Tiger in to waking), she has bounced back as well as expected.  Maybe too well given that she has barely sat down today thanks to the two sets of play mates that came round.  Our fear is it will all come crashing down tomorrow.

I am looking forward to taking off the plasters (which are fully waterproof - never had them before -which means she could even take a bath if we wanted) on Wednesday to see how big the scars will actually be.  She's more worried about the pain of that than any pain she might currently be in!
