All In The Family *update

Turns out hernias do kinda run in families.  I mean not in the sense that they are hereditary and can be passed on to your kids, but according to the surgeon today they are definitely more common in some families than in others.  Mine being the common family seeing as papa has had two repairs and AunTia one.

Anyway, Tiger is now booked in for her hernia repair this Sunday.  The surgery will be done laparoscopically, which I told her was a far cooler way to do it, because then both sides can be fixed if it's required without any additional cutting.

Although Tiger definitely isn't looking forward to another cannula, she is already planning the movies she will watch non-stop the day after surgery when she has to stay home and rest.  And although sad that she won't be able to swim for a fortnight, hearing that she can do no 'heavy lifting' for a month, filled her with glee.  I didn't have the heart to tell the she could still probably empty the dishwasher just one plate at a time, rather than lifting all the plates at once ;)

Next update on the 15th.
