Another weekend, another one spread between cities, duties and activities...
Up in Inverness the Don and I joined Toots and Team Garioch at the North Distance Age Group meet. Although we both had poolside duties on the Saturday, on Sunday we enjoyed a 'special day' celebrating me (which was, after all, why it wasn't just me that took Toots up). And by celebrating me I mean spending three hours in a mall trying to find an appropriate ball dress, shoes and accessories for our unexpected invite to the Energy Snow Ball next Saturday. Just as
well it was my birthday!

Recovering from our shopping exertions. Like I said, we were celebrating me. |
Back in oor toon, Oma held the fort and successfully manoeuvred the other three between football training (which was at two different places at exactly the same time), the school fair, an annual Judo festival, the St Andrew's Day parade and our town fireworks. On top of that she put the kids to work clearing three bags full of leaves, peeling two bags full of apples, making an apple crumble, an apple pie and a vat of apple sauce, as well as wrapping birthday presents, spelling out birthday cards, making and decorating a marble birthday cake and mending the basket of things that never seems to grow smaller. Amazing!

A great weekend was had by all, but I think it was pretty exhausting for all as well!
