First race in the Active Schools Aberdeenshire Central Run4Fun Cross Country series: Kemnay.
Think this about sums it up:
We didn't lose a shoe, but Lightning did trip over a tree root and ended up covered in mud, and we were so cold by the end that we couldn't feel our fingers or any part of our face thanks to the freezing rain showers, so at least we felt like true cross country runners (and supporters).
I'm just glad Toots was at home making our dinner, because the 15 minutes we had to turn the boys around before football and Triclub were not enough time for my hands to defrost, let alone get them their tea!
Next month: Westhill (and perhaps a wee sneaky McD's to aid our recovery).
