Lightning is really easy to fool. That whole 'zooming plane/chugging train open your mouth and shove the food in' thing, he totally falls for. And the even more obvious 'one spoonful of savoury/one spoon of sweet' seems to be his favourite way of finishing a meal at the moment.
Which I know is classic baby, but totally not like either of our previous two. Once she'd had a taste of the sweet, Toots could tell the 'good/wholesome/savoury' spoonful a mile away and point blank refused to open her mouth for it, while Tiger, at least when she was under a year, shoved whatever she wanted in herself (where has that girl gone?!!?). Neither, ever, graced the Don or I with even a flicker of appreciation at the plane/train idea.
So maybe it's 'things that move' that the boy likes. Certainly if there's a toy with a moving bit on it then he'll find that bit and move it over and over. And over and over. And if moving it makes a loud noise, all the better.
They really are lovely, the difference between boys and girls; first kids and subsequent ones; British and American...
No, I'm just kidding about the last one ;)
