Having the right gear makes walking [and playing, and generally being] in snow even more enjoyable.
And snow, so long as we are wearing snow trousers as well as the normal boots, jackets, hats and gloves, means we can cut straight across the playing fields outside our house, rather than taking the long road round. Which in turn means so much more snowy fun!
Though the fifth time I was walking this route "In his master's steps he trod" was being played on a continuous loop in my head - due to a foolish error on my part an hour earlier I'd already made this walk, until I got to the lollypop woman, or lack thereof, wondered where she was, and realised I was an hour early. Duh.
