You're right, you're right, the real way to celebrate St Andrew's Day in this toon is to parade in the freezing cold, waste ninety minutes till it's dark enough, then enjoy a fine show of fireworks.
Except this year neither the Boys' Brigade nor the Swim Club paraded, so it was just Lightning and the Don that waved the flag while the rest of us stood and watched...
...and enjoyed a lollipop, and a hot chocolate, and a crepe and even poke of chips (to warm up our insides). And finally some fire...
