And then we were three...
Well, plus the two little rascals we kept with us for an extra few days.
Just a shame the weather wasn't better, because we didn't make it back out to the beach again, and only just made it along to the pier! But while the big girls were away...
...the boys sure stepped up.
On Wednesday the weather finally played ball again, the tide was high at the right time, the give-it-a-go company was back, and off for some pier jumping we went.

Biggest prize of the day though goes to young Cauli who, at age 6 with no wetsuit, jumped in before any of us were really ready for it! Once was definitely enough for him though, and I have to say I don't blame him. Lightning enjoyed his usual flipping and Joey jumped a few times, but kuddos also has to go to Jelo who both jumped and swam in his birthday suit. Dead Sea temperatures it was not!

And that was pretty much the last of the good weather. Toby the dog still managed to take the boys for a walk most mornings, Mrs Billy took them up to the driving range, they played three or four rounds of tennis, even in the rain, and Lightning still insisted on body boarding - and to his credit stayed in for about an hour, and learned how to steer the board, on really quite a cold day!

It really is such a wonderful and relaxing home away from home...whatever the weather and whatever the time of year. I'm wondering now if maybe the Don and I could enjoy a week here next summer while the boys are away in Switzerland and the girls take care of themselves!
