Eruption

So on the back of travelling around Italy this summer and visiting the Bay of Naples, I started reading Pompeii by Robert Harris again.  I think this is maybe my third read (I do love reading a good book over and over) and yes, I probably should have read it before going on holiday.

Anyway, this morning Joey, who always has a fun fact for you, told me that Vesuvius erupted in August however many years ago.  I'd not even really been aware of the dates, but when I looked in to it, and re-read the Author's Note, I realised I'm actually at the bit about it erupting, the same week that it erupted thousands of years ago.  How cool is that?!?

Maybe only cool for me, but whatever.
