Let It Go

Anyone else got the songs from Frozen kicking endlessly around their heads? Three of our kids are singing three songs continuously, and the fourth one perks up every time he hears the song intros.

In fairness we probably made the situation worse by buying the girls the Frozen CD as a surprise for our drive to San Antonio.  And now that Toots can read she reads and reads and reads the CD insert, so at least sings the correct words, and is very quick to correct the other two.  But even before then they were singing it at every opportunity and Tiger was playing 'Anna and Elsa' whenever she could with any friend she could.  We'd only seen the movie once, and that was before Christmas, and as far as I knew they'd never heard the soundtrack.  But boy...

Anyway, there's something about those three songs that once they're in your head, then they. are. in. it.  Even Lightning walks around singing "We used to be best buddies, but now we're not... I wish you would tell me whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?"

Though I think he just likes the phrase 'best buddies'.

We definitely made the situation worse by allowing Tiger to use the last of her birthday money to go to the store on Tuesday and buy the DVD when it was released.  But what can you do?  Grin and bear it I suppose, or start singing along, and desperately hope that by summer a new DisneyPixar movie will be out to replace this one.

And if any of these songs are now in your head, they're likely to be there for the next few hours.  You're welcome :)

Ha! We've not seen it (deemed to be too girly) so you've not stuck any songs in my head thankfully.
We have the same problem with 'everything is awesome' from the Lego movie mind you.
