My Christmas Caroline

The sand dunes weren't quite as impressive as last time we were in the desert (and certainly less than we'd promised our kids who were up for more of their form of dune bashing)...

Thems the love-birds

...it also probably wasn't quite as cold as we made it...

...but the grilling, food and fires were most definitely bigger and better.

In fact, the fire was so big and hot we had to leave the marshmallow grilling till it had lessened somewhat.

It was still pretty toasty.

But the real reason for setting up camp in the middle of the desert on the road to Sweihan was for the Christmas carolling.

Away in a Manger anyone?

Almost got everyone in!

I tell you one lesson we learned from last time was how to keep track of your kids in the desert after dark.

Glow sticks = win win.
