And while we were happily lazing in bed and enjoying a wonderfully cooked not-by-us breakfast, Vallel and Lightning took part in their first ever parkrun.
As Lightning no longer has football training on a Saturday morning and, therefore, essentially has the day free (if he doesn't have a swim meet) I think this is going to be his new jam. And given that from the age of 11 he can run without an adult - so in a fortnight's time - I'm totally going to encourage it (cos neither of us are gonna be running 5k any time soon)!
