And finally, after walking past them and staring at them all day, Lightning finally managed to open his presents, blow out his candles, and eat his cake with the whole family around him (which seems to be becoming a bit of a theme - though I suppose in this case, what goes around comes around)!
Not that he had an awful day - being 11 he was able to take part in the ParkRun all by himself (i.e. not run within an arm's length of a responsible adult) and he did set a new PB, so you know...take the wins!
